Shipyard Electrician in Krimpen aan den IJssel, the Netherlands

We are looking for experienced electricians to work on river cruise ships. The job includes connecting electrical sockets, lighting, smart systems and electrical installations with different voltage levels, as well as pulling and preparing cables. At least three years of experience as an electrician and previous shipyard experience are required.
Job Responsibilities
- Installing and connecting electrical sockets and lighting systems on river cruise ships.
- Installing and connecting smart electrical systems.
- Pulling, preparing, connecting and neatly routing electrical cables.
- Working with 230 V AC systems.
- Working with 48 V and 24 V DC systems.
- Installing data and telecommunications cabling.
- Working according to technical drawings, diagrams and project requirements.
Salary
Gross hourly rate: €17–€22 gross.
Monthly income: may reach approximately €3,000 net.
Working hours: 40 hours per week.
Payment day: Thursday or Friday.
Overtime: additional hours are regularly available.
The final rate and net salary depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, actual hours worked, overtime and applicable deductions.
Accommodation and Working Conditions
- Accommodation in an apartment with a private room.

- Work is scheduled from Monday to Friday.
- The working week is 40 hours.
- The project duration is at least six months.
- Dutch Phase 1/2 employment contract.

Candidate Requirements
- At least three years of experience as an electrician.
- Previous shipyard work experience is required.
- Experience working on cruise ships is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical installations and cabling systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
- English language skills at B1–B2 level.
- A valid VCA-B safety certificate.
- A valid Category B driving licence.
- Accuracy, independence and the ability to work as part of a team.
